Theirs is not to reason why, theirs is but to do and die
I'm just preparing my impromptu remarks.
Dulce et Decorum Est Pro Patria Mori
Self explanatory, isn't it? But you'll need to know a bit of history -
All the pictures are arranged in chronological order.
If you need more help,
Blog is D-Day, Profile is Market Garden, Links is Battle of the Bulge, Archives is Iwo Jima.(the one hidden behind this part)
And if you're wondering what it means, it's saying "It is right and fitting to die for your country.
When you go home,
tell them for us and say,
for your tomorrow,
we gave our today.
So...I guess most of you know me as "The Lone Ranger". Those who don't know me as the lone ranger probably don't know me. I am a very shallow person. You can summarise me in three words: World War II. Yes, friends say I'm in love with it. Whatever. Ask me anything about the ETO (European Theatre of Operations) and I'll tell you anything from SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters of the Allied Expeditionary Force) to LCVPs (Landing Craft, Vehicle and Personnel). Ask me about the PTO (Pacific Theatre of Operations) and I might not know, but CinCPac (Commander in Chief, Pacific) that one I know. It's probably occured to you by now that I'm just trying to discombobulate you with acronyms, so we'll drop that.
Other than WWII I like writing. Writing's good for you. Helps you in English.
Movies: War movies are all my favourites but my most favouritest (no such word, don't take me as an example) is Band of Brothers, followed by things like A Bridge Too Far and Saving Private Ryan. Books? Any WWII ones.
And that's about me. See? I told you I'm shallow.
They could never connect all the links in the chain.
